In our study of 1 Peter, we are exploring who Jesus is, who we are as a result, and how we can live as witnesses to the One who has suffered for us—both in our love for one another and our love for an increasingly hostile but watching world.  As Peter himself states: "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9).
