Pastor David Keithley
David has come home. After going to kindergarten in Farmington, IL, just 10 miles down the road from Hanna City, it seems God intended to return him to his roots. David began serving as pastor at Hanna City Presbyterian Church in August 2013. With his wife, Jennifer (married in 1994), David has 4 children: Peterson (adopted from Haiti), Wesley, Abigail (adopted from Guatemala), and Kathryn. His family is his greatest joy apart from Jesus, and he enjoys being with them, laughing with them, and pointing them to Jesus both in his failures and his victories, any chance he can. He's also fanatical about the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bears, and keeps up on regional sports in general so don't expect a short conversation if you bring that up... he'll have an opinion (even if it's wrong).
Prior to joining us, David served as Pastor of Youth and Families at Christ Church (Presbyterian Church in America) in Normal, IL for almost 11 years following graduation from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO and stints in two other churches. He also serves or has served on various committees and boards, including serving as president of the board for reConnect Youth Ministries, Living Alternatives Pregnancy Resource Center's stewardship committee, Connecting Hearts with the Forgotten's Adoption and Orphan Care Leadership Team, and various committees within his denomination. In addition, David is a certified financial coach through the ministry of Dave Ramsey, and a certified youth ministry coach with PACT Ministry.
Youth director Robbie Rogers
Robbie grew up and has lived in East Peoria his entire life. He comes from an amazing, Christ-loving family where he was the baby of four (three older sisters). The Rogers like to joke that he had four mothers growing up. Robbie knew Christ as a kid, but he began to realize the importance of having a true relationship with Christ in college. While part of CRU (Campus Crusades for Christ), Robbie's passion for Christ grew. There he became a student leader and led weekly bible studies on Bradley's campus. Through his experience in leading Bible studies, he knew he wanted to help others grow and see Christ's beauty. Robbie's wife Jessi shares in our youth ministry.
Jessi is from Eureka where she developed a passion for color guard and caring for others. She has an older brother and younger sister. Since then she graduated from OSF College of Nursing and now works on the oncology floor at Unity Point Methodist Hospital. Jessi is a master at planning parties and fun get-togethers and has a heart made for sharing the love of Christ to others. Jessi also coaches color guard at East Peoria Community High School.
The Rogers are excited to be a part of Hanna City Presbyterian's youth ministry and to see our teenagers grow in Christ.
